ISO application area

Recommendations

Use CoroTurn 111 for optimization of internal turning operations requiring small cutting forces when machining with long tool overhangs.

Geometries

CoroTurn 111 inserts come in the following geometries:

  • -PF/-MF/-KF
  • -PM/-MM/-KM/-UM

Clamping

CoroTurn 111 includes inserts and boring bars in the range from diameter 5 to diameter 25 mm (0.984 inch), as well as exchangeable cutting heads within the CoroTurn SL system.

All cylindrical CoroTurn 111 bars are designed for the EasyFix clamping system.

CoroTurn 111 system is available in Coromant Capto cutting units and conventional steel shank design for all insert shapes and in different angles.

Boring bars are available:

  • Solid steel bars, for overhang up to 4 x bar dia
  • Carbide bars, for overhang up to 6 x bar dia
  • Damped bars, for overhang up to 10 x bar dia

Combined with damped carbide reinforced bars within the CoroTurn SL system CoroTurn 111 can be used for overhangs up to 14x bar dia.

For small diameter bores, down to 0.3 mm, use CoroTurn XS tools.

All cylindrical CoroTurn 111 bars are designed with the Easy Fix groove for a fast, simple, and correct setting of center height due to spring loaded plunger.
